June 29, 2008 - Moving Day! I am picking up my office and moving to northwest Austin! I am very excited about the new space. The transition should be seamless, I will be ready to see clients for massage on Monday, June 30th. Visit the location page to view exact location, direction, and (coming soon) photographs of my new office! April 29, 2008 - Ragweed, and Ceder and Dust...Oh my! April 2008 - I'm excited to announce the new arrival of a hot towel cabinet for the office! So...introducing a luxurious new addition to my massage services... hot towels! Hot towels enhance the massage experience, adding an element of hydrotherapy to your massage. Hot compresses are applied to your face, back and feet to warm your muscles, providing another level of relaxation to your massage.
It's something you have to experience to fully appreciate just how delicious hot towels can be! February 2008 - I attended a Thai Yoga Massage workshop in Colorado Springs. I actually went with my mother, who was a lovely victim, er, recipient model, and who even tried her hand (so to speak) at some Thai moves. Thai Yoga Massage is an experience for sure. Unlike a Swedish Massage, it is done fully clothed and on a matt on the floor. Much of a this modality is like facilitated yoga; the recipient goes through different yoga-like positions passively, in fluid movements guided by the giver. The therapist also addresses the muscles directly with pressure points. There is quite a bit of stretching, some of which can be very intense! While I will not be offering full Thai Yoga sessions at this time, I took away some lovely techniques to incorporate into my sessions on the table as well as chair massage sessions.
September 2007 - Fall Special - Now that summer is over and the kids are back in school, it's time to get back into the routine of taking care of yourself! See my specials page for a limited time offer. May 13, 2007 - Mother's Day - Moms care for us, it's what they do. They nurture and soothe, help us relax when we're tense, and make us feel good about ourselves when we need it most. Wouldn't it be thoughtful to turn the tables on Mom this year and give her some of that back? You can! Beautiful, personalized, Instant Gift Certificates make it possible to share a truly wonderful experience and let Mom know just how great you think she is! For a limited time, purchase an instant gift certificate for mom and receive $5 off that 90-minute Swedish Massage session.
